ESSAY WRITING
The first assignment Ms.Thivilojana, our english lecturer gave us was an essay writing. I've learnt to construct a pre-writing before composing an essay. This enables me to be clearer when writing as all the points are all stated down. The use of transitional words and phrases help me to separate or connect different points. Other things that I've learnt that what an essay should consists of are introduction, thesis statement, topic sentences and elaboration on key points.
ORAL PRESENTATION
The objectives of this assignments are to provide basic oral presentation skills, to Practice in choosing a text suitable to their ability and aptitude for public presentation and to focus on pronunciation, enunciation and intonation.
It also allows us to cope with stage fright, which is common in almost everyone.
i've learned that, before a presentation we should always be prepared. During the presentation, we should make eye contact with the audience. This allows us to interact with the audience indirectly. In addition, we need more practice before the presentation in order to be adequetly prepared on what we are going present. Other than that, facial expression, body language and appearance also plays an important in a presentation.
