Project 1

Sketch! Like Your Life Depends On It! 

In this project, application of different types of sketching, rendering technique and rendering media are focused on. We are to identify a personal and expressive to visual simulation, also to apply basic principles and elements of design with drawing as a language to visualise and to communicate ideas. We are to produce 8 A5 sketches with different styles and topic.

Through this assignment, i have learned different styles of sketching and rendering. I have enjoyed this assignment as it is kind of relaxing to me.

Project 2

Developing Architecture Drawings (Understanding Drawings Conventions)

In this project, we are to sketch and conduct measurements of our chosen objects. I have chosen a shampoo bottle and a scientific calculator as my object in this assignment. We are to produce technical drawings of our chosen object with at least 3 different elevations.

Through this assignment, i have learned to measure an object and scale it properly. I have also learned to produce an accurate technical drawing.

Project 3

Site Analysis & Design Proposed

In this assignment, we are to work in a group of 5 to identify and understand what are the key factors affecting the site and how things can be presented in a systematic and analytical ways in drawings. We are to observe and analyse the site for the lightings, weather, human activities and so on.

In this assignment, i have understood the importance of site analysis. I have understood the basic to observe and analyse a site. It was quite an important lesson in my opinion.

Project 4

display unit

This is the final project for design and visualisation. We are to design a display unit based on our given topic and observation obtained from our site study. This project require us to undergo a series of processes to produce sketches, diagrams, architectural drawings and study the models to communicate ideas visually. In short, we are to produce an A1 board containing our ideas, designs, inspirations and so on, presenting it in an silent presentation. We are also required to make a scale model for our idea.

I have selected pixar as my concept and inspiration for my design. Mr. Incredible to be exact.

In this assignment, i have learned a lot. I have learned the importance of producing a detailed presentation board. I am quite happy with the end results .
